He is sheikh Ahmed al-Abariqi al-Ahmady (named after the Sidi Ahmed al-Badawi order). He lived in the C7 AH. He lived in seclusion in Ghabn Mosque in al-Rawda where he was also buried. It thus came to be called Zawyat al-Abariqi.
