Location: Hanafi Street from Majlis al-Ummah
He was born in the same city as Sayyid Ali Noorideen al-Bayoomy i.e. Bayoom Meet Ghamr in Mansoura. He (may God be pleased with him) was a textile manufacturer and whenever he pulled a new line of cloth he would utter “la illah illa Allah”. He said “this is how one turns worldly work into worship.” He was known for his assistance of the poor and was an example of futtuwa (spiritual chivalry) in supporting the weak. It is said that he was gifted the talent of molding iron with his bear hands.
He took the spiritual path of the renowned Sufi Abu Hasan al-Shadhili and was known to be “the door to Sayyida Zaynab” i.e. someone who one may go to in order to benefit from her assistance.
