(His tomb lies in Hanafi Street from Majlis al-Umma)
Saleh was born in Bayoum in Meet Ghamr, al-Mansoura city. It is the same town of ‘Ali Nur al-Deen al-Bayoumi.
He worked as a textile weaver, weaving strands of yarn on a loom. Every time he pulled the yarn, he would say, ‘La Ilaha illa Allah [There is no god save Allah]’. He maintained that this is how work becomes act of worship.
He used to help the poor and stand up for truth and the weak. Allah bestowed upon him the ability to bend steel with his hands.
He followed the order of Abu Hasan al-Shadhili; people sought him out to gain the intercession of al-Sayyida Zaynab.
