Location: Masjid Marzooq – Tanta
He is Marzooq bin Abdullah bin Ghazi born in Mecca whose lineage goes back to Imam al-Husayn, grandson of the Emissary of Godﷺ. The Shareef Marzooq al-Ghazi moved from Mecca to Cairo where he stayed for a short while before he departed to Tanta and settled there. He stayed in the Umawi Mosque referring to its construction in the last years of the Umayyad Empire in the year 132 AH. He remained in Tanta until his death in the year 568 AH.
